A fantastic group of newly qualified teachers will join the teaching profession today after graduating from Shotton Hall's school-centred initial teacher training course, Shotton Hall SCITT.
Shotton Hall SCITT is an Ofsted outstanding initial teacher training provider now in their fifth year. Teacher training was traditionally studied at universities but is now also offered in teaching schools across the country, allowing trainees to get hands-on experience from day one.
Nicky Hickman, Teaching School Director said: “Schools in the north east will benefit greatly from this fantastic cohort of newly qualified teachers joining the profession today. Each individual has shown that they are hard-working, resilient, patient and enthusiastic and we couldn’t be prouder of the great teachers they have become during their training year. With the vast majority already securing jobs for September – we wish them the best of luck.”
